The Story

Tony G is an independent New Zealand songwriter, composer, and photographer based on the shores of Orewa Beach, north of Auckland.

His sound is a blend of island fusion with a hint of reggae, and some tracks carry a country feel — a reflection of the many influences woven through his journey as an artist. Drawing inspiration from the rhythmic push and pull of the tide and the wide open coastline, his music is designed to offer listeners a soulful refuge from the noise of modern life.

His debut full-length album "Salt on the Ochre" charted across Australia, a milestone born out of a personal journey that shaped much of the songwriting and composition behind it. His second album "My Island Fusion" continued that story. Standout tracks include "Ticket to the Sunrise," "Done With Asking Why," "Midday Glare," and "Anchor in a Raging Sea." "Universal Rhythm" is a particular highlight, blending English and Hindi into a genuine crossover track.

With over 30 tracks available across Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and many other global platforms, TonyG_NZ has already been streamed in 162 countries and counting, with an ever-growing catalogue of new releases on the way.
